World Happiness Report 2013

World Happiness Report 2013

Each year the World Happiness Report summarizes the results of surveys sent to people across the world to try to determine how happy people are. Using various statistical controls, they look to six factors to describe happiness: real GDP per capita, years of healthy life expectancy, “social support”, perceptions of corruption, prevalence of generosity, and freedom to make life choices. If you’re interested, the report itself gives more information regarding the methodology and definitions used therein. Here I will simply list out the top six happiest countries from the data collected between 2010-2012.

  1. Denmark
  2. Norway
  3. Switzerland
  4. Netherlands
  5. Sweden
  6. Canada
